#blogtober14: I never thought blogging would...

Alright, after yesterday's ranting and raving we're back on track with #blogtober14!
There's a couple things I never expected to come out of blogging.
If you read the ten thoughts I had when I first started blogging, I wasn't really doing it for anyone else. Just me. Which I still am, but there are different elements now. I never thought I'd have followers, people that actually wanted to read about my weekend and wedding planning (yeah right there's been no blogging about that). Even after I had followers I never thought people would actually comment about my weekend recaps where I did nothing but watch the Law and Order: SVU marathons.. Or even the other way around. I never thought I'd find myself reading other people weekend recaps because I like them as a person and just wanted to know what they were up too..

I never thought blogging would make me love twitter so much. Actually twitter and I have a love/hate relationship but that's too much for today.
I never thought I'd really make friends blogging. When I first started blogging I read a blog (twilight zone?) about how hard it is these days to make blog friends because everyone just wants to be the next big thing.. I don't have that problem here, but I could see how other "bigger" bloggers would be wary to let in an outsider or a newbie.
I definitly never thought it'd give me something to be proud of. A couple months ago, Roland text me and asked me if I'd blogged about anything "bad". After I told him no and asked why, he said he was going to show his boss my blog. After the sheer panic and terror passed, I realized that I wasn't ashamed of my blog... This is my corner of the internet where my thoughts (and rants and sarcasm) go. If someone doesn't like it, then I guess they don't have to read it.. but I should never be ashamed of my little home I've created here with all you guys, my blog friends.
Happy Fridayyyyyyyyy!

  1. I love the new people I've met while blogging, that's the best part, I think. :)

By the way, I nominated you for the Liebster: http://badbrewpack.blogspot.com/2014/10/you-love-me-you-really-love-me.html. :)

  2. I have met so many wonderful people through blogging. That is one of the best things about it I think. haha I hear you on the twitter love/hate relationship. I use it mostly for my blog and not really personal use anymore. I mostly leave the personal posts for instagram, facebook, and of course my blog.

  3. The best part about blogging for me is the people, just like yourself! It's amazing to me that I have found so many people all over the US (and world) that I want to be best friends with!
