Birthday Weekend.

This weekend was amazing. If this was a glimpse of what 24 is going to look like. I love it.   We kicked off the weekend with a lazy Saturday. I went to the gym, my mom and I got our nails/toes done, Roland played some basketball... and then we started getting ready for our engagement pictures! 

 

Strong Selfie Game.

 I wore fake eyelashes and everything. (Hardest thing I've ever had to do in my life, was getting those stupid things to stick and stay.) We drove out to Medicine Park and did some super cute rock/waterfall pictures and I'm so freaking excited to get those bad boys back!  Then when we got home that night, Roland's mom, sisters, and our nephew came over with CAKE! And scrapbook stuff! My mom is a creative memories hoarder. For real, she has a whole room full of scrapbooks half filled and cabinets overflowing with pictures, decorative paper, stamps, cut outs... it's borderline ridiculous. But she's organized.. so it's contained for the most part.  Anyway, we had cake and played with baby Brayden, this kid has my heart guys. He's adorable. 

He was fascinated with those candles. Not so much the noise makers that he has in his hand. He did not like the noise they made.  Sunday included church, lunch at Luigi's, going to the mall to get some new running shorts and shoes, then to my parents house for cake, and some Hand and Foot. Which we lost in, pretty miserably if I might add. Roland is extremely competitive and I'm not, at all. So I just play and he gets so frustrated with me sometimes "Why didn't you pick up the deck?!" "MM because I didn't feel like it... there's a lot of cards in there I can't do anything with...." It's a constant battle.   Then we finally made our way home and relaxed on the couch for a while. 
I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day.  And we get to do it all over again on Wednesday with Roland's family for his birthday!
